Perfect Bound Books

For a lightweight yet polished and professional look, perfect binding provides an elegant and cost-effective solution. This method is ideal for producing books, catalogues, annual reports and marketing materials — especially when the page count is too high for stapling. The process involves gluing the cover and internal pages together along the spine before trimming the edges for a clean, sharp and refined finish.

We offer a selection of paper types and finishing options, such as matt lamination, Spot UV and foil blocking, to give your project a premium touch.

Hardback Books

For a sturdier, long-lasting option, our custom hardback books are the perfect choice. The internal pages are sewn securely into a solid, rigid cover that provides excellent durability and protection against everyday wear and tear.

Paper

We stock a range of papers for you to choose from, 90gsm paper up to 450gsm card. All of our materials are from sustainable sources, eco friendly and recycled materials are encouraged where possible.

Sizes

Standard book sizes are A3, A4, A5 and A6, but if you would prefer a different size we offer bespoke options.

Matt Lamination with Spot UV

Adding lamination to your custom printed books will enhance their durability and protection as well as giving a professional finish. We offer Spot UV which adds a thin layer of UV gloss in selected areas, adding shiny smooth surface to highlight parts of your design.

Foil Blocking

Foil blocking offers a unique and memorable finish. During the process, foil is heat pressed onto mapped out parts of the print to give a metallic finish and highlight chosen parts of the print.

*Same day and express service is available on certain products at an added cost. Please mention this from the outset if required and speak to a member of staff.

Lead Times
  • Lead-time for printed brochures depends on the number of pages and total quantity
  • Please try to allow 2-10 days in most cases
  • Anything outside of this please highlight from the outset and we will do our best to meet your deadlines
Print Management

We offer a print management service where we can print large volumes, deliver a part supply to you, hold stock on site, and the balance to be delivered on call-off. Get in touch for further information.

How to Supply Artwork

When sending artwork for press…

We are happy to accept a variety of file formats. Our inhouse studio has the following software…

Mac:
InDesign CC ‘packaged to include all fonts & images’
Adobe Illustrator CS 5.5
Adobe Photoshop CS 5.5
QuarkXPress 8.5 ‘collect for output, include fonts & images’

PC:
Publisher
Microsoft Word (not for spot colour)

We also accept: PDF/X format (hi resolution) with 3mm bleed & crop marks.
.eps saved with 3mm bleed & crop marks.

Canva:

Image quality:
All images should be supplied as 300dpi CMYK .j.peg, .tif or .eps.

Things to remember:

  • Make sure all images are hi res CMYK or greyscale.
  • Make sure there is 3mm bleed on images extending beyond the final size of your document.
  • Include all fonts.

  • How long is a quote valid for?

Technically 30 days, but unless we incur increases on materials it will be longer.

  • Do you offer eco friendly or recycled options?

All of our materials are from sustainable sources, eco friendly and recycled materials are encouraged where possible.

  • Can I order a custom shape / size?

Each job is bespoke, we enjoy working closely with you to give you the outcome you are looking for.

  • Are there any minimum / maximum order requirements?

No minimum or maximum, we would explain the most cost effective option for you though, for you to decide.

 

  • Are there any discounts for bulk or repeating orders?

If you order in bulk, you will benefit from a better unit rate.
Some jobs are cheaper when they repeat for certain reasons.

  • What are your payment methods?

Payment can be made via: Bacs Payment, Card Payment *No American Express* or Cash

  •  When must payment be made?

This will vary for many reasons, it will be discussed prior to the order taking place.

  • What is your return or refund policy?

Every job will be looked at individually and an agreement made from both parties, to ensure the best outcome.

You don’t have to provide finished artwork for us to handle your print work. Our modern, well-equipped design studio – and experienced creative designers – can produce professional artwork for you.
